Apartment-Club on Strastnoy Boulevard

In the very heart of Moscow, within the quiet courtyards of Strastnoy Boulevard, a unique project was born — the apartment-club on Strastnoy — a private club for like-minded individuals — a place for dialogue, reflection and intellectual exchange. Featured on the cover of the architectural online magazine INTERIORS, the space has become an example of a subtle dialogue between past and present — an interior time capsule, carefully preserved and thoughtfully reinterpreted.

At the core of the project lies a deep respect for historical architecture and authentic proportions of space: the original enfilade layout, characteristic of early 20th-century Moscow apartments, has been preserved. Historic doors and an early-century dining table discovered within the interior were restored and reimagined, while lost elements were recreated with maximum accuracy: the hardwood flooring in Chevron pattern was produced by Coswick company with close reference to historical precedents and the architectural context of the space.

The project’s aesthetic is built on the contrast of eras: a stainless-steel kitchen, a plastic designer chandelier and iconic ghost chairs enter into dialogue with a pre-revolutionary wooden table and classic hardwood flooring.

On Strastnoy is more than an interior project. It is the revival of a place where every element — from the parquet to the artworks — holds memory and speaks the same language as contemporary life.
