On their first meeting the clients had gifted Alexey and Ekaterina Savicki, the designers, with a velvet bag with sea pebbles in it. This feeling, mood and colour solution was to be used throughout the project, a private house for a family of six, four kids and, of course, a cat.

Each family member had a special, unique design made for their living space.

The eldest son’s room is music and slightly structured chaos. The decor includes a lot of matte textures of deep colours.

The girls’ room is a laconic space for creativity. Natural matte green was chosen as it flourishes when the owners are in the room with their ginger hair standing out on the background of green painted patterns, an ideal combination.

The younger son’s room, thanks to the use of the house’s roof, is a dream come through for any kid: a hidden playroom in the attic, where one could only get through a ladder. The main space and the bed are on the first level. The base pastel of the walls is adorned by the sky blue of the playroom. It also cools down the space as the windows are facing south.

The master bedroom stands for all the principles of the clients. Enveloping in its colours and texture, tactile – from the blankets to the rhythmic patterns of the closet doors.

And, of course, the common rooms: kitchen and dining room, and the living room are situated in the same volume but can be easily separated by closing the tall glass doors. At night these look stunning when illuminated. Big open terrace is a great place for family gatherings, soon to be joined by a hearth , the heart of the house, and a summerhouse.

Wait, what about the cat? The space under the staircase not only has a whole system of containers but also a private little room for the pet with a little doorway that clearly indicates who is occupying this place.

All the materials and decor was selected by touch. Nothing is random, all is chosen by mood and inner vibes. Many elements are made of natural materials, telling their stories with soft tones and resonating with the overall canvas. Together it creates a cosy family home.
