In a luxury residential complex located in the historical center of Minsk, a project was realized where classical architecture and the spirit of Soviet-era buildings found a new, contemporary expression. The designer and the client succeeded in creating a light, airy interior that inspires calm and relaxation while being filled with details that evoke history.
The corridor was inspired by a traditional a St. Petersburg entrance hall — the arched walls and concrete floor evoke a sense of nostalgia. Guests are greeted by a large marble lamp with decorative fruit, as well as handcrafted sconces based on the designer’s sketches.
The color palette of the interior was determined by the view from the windows overlooking old Minsk: luxurious glass doors with hints of Soviet modernism and Art Nouveau lead into a living room that breathes light, air and harmony.
In the bedroom, a decorative panel depicting ears of grain and birds symbolizes the owner’s love of nature. A soft bed, like a cloud, fills the space with lightness; a glass chandelier set into a plaster dome sparkles in the sunlight, while vintage Murano glass sconces add a delicate malachite accent.
The study–guest room features shelves with books and art objects; a wall with moldings and straw-textured wallpaper create a sense of comfort and sophisticated tranquility.
The flooring — Coswick oak hardwood in chevron pattern — ties together classic and contemporary elements, emphasizing an atmosphere of warmth and lightness.
Peace of Mind is an interior about tradition and soul, light and comfort and the harmony of past and present.
The project features 3-layer engineered oak flooring in Raw Sienna décor
